If you stay around my site for a bit I hope you'll enjoy peaks from my life as a scientist, an athlete, a traveler, a cook ... and other passions I have yet to discover!
I grew up in Medellin, a lovely and thriving city in Colombia. I love challenges both physical and mental, that's why sports (particularly squash) and science are my greatest passions. My teens were full of exciting squash trips around south america as part of the colombian national team. I then went to Trinity College in Hartford connecticut. I got my B.S in Electrical Engineering, made and programmed several exciting robots and was part of an amazing group of friends and talented squash players.
After Trinity, I moved to Providence RI to get my Ph.D at Brown University. During this long journey I became a scientist. I grew interested in machine learning and problems in 3-d computer vision. At Brown I met my better half, Dave. I lived on a 28-foot sailboat for three-years, I biked, hiked, travelled and was surrounded by amazing friends. I love R.I maybe… it's all about the accent! After finishing my Ph.D, I have recently moved to Switzerland looking for exciting new challenges and life experiences.
